++++ If you are unable to help perhaps you can think of anyone who could commit to helping or running one of our sections on a weekly basis?
The Group meets every Tuesday, 4.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m., at Reynoldston Village Hall (occasionally, meetings are held at outdoor locations on Gower).
3rd Gower Scout group has a Beaver colony for 6 – 8 year olds, Cub pack for 8 – 10, and Scout troop for 10 – 14 year olds.
All sections of the Scouts are both boys and girls and we undertake weekly meetings learning new skills, playing games and achieving badges. We also run sleepovers and camps at weekends and during the school holidays, when the children learn camp-craft, lighting fires, navigation and undertake a range of outdoor activities. There are also opportunities to try outdoor pursuits such as climbing, canoeing, visiting historic monuments, hiking and pony trekking.

New Beaver Leader Needed
Reynoldston Village Hall is home to a thriving colony of beavers. They come from all over Gower on a Tuesday afternoon to undertake games and earn badges. I have been running Beavers since I set the colony up for my children 8 years ago. Now my time as Beaver leader has to come to an end.
We would love someone who is available every Tuesday from 4-5:30pm to take on this role so the young girls and boys in the local area can continue to enjoy this fun and exciting activity.
The leader does not have to be a parent or have any experience in scouting. They just need to be committed to attend the weekly meeting during term time and plan and run the activities, ably assisted by a band of very willing helpers from the Beaver parents.
The role of Beaver leader is very rewarding and I have loved my time but I am now moving up to the scouts with my children. Full training is provided and planning for the last 8 years is available as well as advice and support by myself for the new appointee.
If you or anyone you know is interested, please pass on my details even if it is just for more information.
