3rd Gower Scout Group

The Group meets every Wednesday at Reynoldston Village Hall (occasionally, meetings are held at outdoor locations on Gower).

               Both Scouts and Explorer Scouts are open to Boys & Girls

Subscriptions - £28 per term.

The Scouts participate in a range of activities including outdoor adventurous pursuits and camping. Last year the Scouts and Explorer Scouts enjoyed a weekend camp at Rhandirmwyn and a week at a campsite in Gloucestershire. Other activities included a 24 hour pedal car race, archery, hiking, climbing/abseiling, air rifle shooting, cooking, etc. The Explorer Scouts have now begun the Bronze Award of the Duke of Edinburgh Award

2007 is the centenary year of the Scout Movement and will include many exciting activities. The Explorer Scouts will begin the year with a January camp in Parkmill whilst the Scouts will be traveling to France for a weekend at Disneyland at the end of the month. Other activities throughout the year will include a trip by the Explorer Scouts to Cork for St Patrick's Day, a celebration camp with other Scouts and Explorer Scouts from Swansea and Neath Port Talbot in May and further weekend and week long camping trips. The Explorer Scouts will be involved with completing the training and final expedition for their Duke of Edinburgh Award. In addition it is anticipated that climbing, abseiling, hill-walking and caving will be become regular activities for the Explorer Scouts.

There is always a need to recruit more volunteer adult leaders.
