Skipping on Three Cliffs bay with Gower Society Youth

Gower Society Youth has developed a programme of free, mostly outdoor, activities for young people from 3 to 12 though older children can come along. Every month from February to October Dawn Thomas, our Youth Organiser, arranges an outdoor activity which will keep families busy for the afternoon. In November there is usually a craft afternoon ready for Christmas.

The activities help families to explore new and hidden parts of the Gower Lordship, learn new skills, meet people and have fun. Children will need to bring a responsible adult with them.

Our next activity is on Saturday 15th July Butterflies and Bush Crickets.

MEET at 2pm Oxwich NNR. Parking available in the field on the right of the marsh road before the main beach car park, look for the flag.

Directions: Follow the A4118 South Gower Road until the turning sign posted to Oxwich. Follow the road down the hill and across the marsh until you come to the field on the right, failing which the beach car park on the left.

Come and see the amazing butterflies, bush crickets and grasshoppers living in the sand dunes at the back on Oxwich NNR. July is the perfect time to see Oxwich at its best. Use butterfly nets to catch these beautiful animals and look closely at them using magnifying glasses.
